September: We participated in our annual
installation of officers. It was a memorable event as our new Master
Donald Scribner conducted the evening with lots of spirit.
October: The Lodge ventured to Lake Winnipesauke to admire
fall foliage with the assistance of the "Lady of the Lake". It is a
ferry that tours around the lake and affords us some spectacular views of
the colorful leaves. If you missed this trip, don't miss it next year!
November: We had a special visit from our District Deputy
Grand Master George Bibilos (left) who, with the help of our current Master
Don Scribner (center), presented Paul Craigie (right) with a certificate of
appreciation for all his hard work as Master of the Lodge last year.
Paul's brother, David, also took his first step into becoming a Mason.
All members were treated to a great turkey dinner in honor of the
Thanksgiving holiday.

December: The Lodge threw its annual Christmas Party.
There was a scrumptious ham dinner, followed by caroling, and of course, a
Yankee Swap! (Sorry, pictures are not available due to technical
difficulties.)
January: David Craigie (second from right) took the second
step into becoming a Mason this month. The ceremony was nothing short
of perfect and featured Brad VanMagness (left) performing a very difficult
piece of Ritual.

February: Love was in the air as we held our Valentine's Day
Party. Several members and their wives / girlfriends attended.
All ladies were presented a rose by Master Don Scribner and Junior Warden
Mike Alves. Hey Vinny (left picture), that's Mike's Valentine, go find
your own! We also held a Blood Drive in Stoneham and collected
58 pints of blood. Thank you to all who
volunteered their time and those who donated blood.

March: This month, David Craigie took the final step in
becoming a Mason. We all congratulate him and welcome him to our
fraternity. His brother, Paul presented him with a pin that has been a
tradition in his family and will always remind him of this memorable
evening.

April: Good Samaritan Lodge held its first semi-annual
Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament to raise money for our Angel Fund Charity.
It was well attended by members of not only our Lodge, but other Lodges in
the district as well. There was lots of food to eat and poker
instruction by Vincent Rinaldi before the tournament started. We
raised $100 for the Angel Fund, gave away some great door prizes and had fun
learning about the game and meeting new brethren!

May: Five members of Good Samaritan Lodge (and
formerly King Cyrus Lodge) were honored with "Exemplary Service Medals" for
their devotion and commitment to the Lodge for 50+ years.

June: Good Samaritan Lodge with help from North
Reading Lodge held its annual Silent Auction Picnic. There were lots
of items donated for bidding and we raised over $450 of proceeds towards our
charity fund! Thanks to all who donated their time to this worthy
event as well! Members from both Lodges enjoyed the hot summer day as
did their family members and guests with games for the kids and fellowship
for all.
